The city’s rich and storied past is evident as you stroll the sidewalks that skirt the square. It is very safe with good schools in the area and is on the rise from past decade as it continues to grow. As for schools, there are both private and public schools with all good ratings.

McDonough is a great neighborhood to grow up in, although I wish they had more sidewalks. Job opportunities are not hard to find here. With this, there are many things to do as visiting McDonough Square where you can shop, eat, play, etc. The people are such great individuals and are highly supportive of one another. There are so many good food places to chose from and you will always see someone you know when you go out.

The one thing that I have never cared for is the absolutely awful traffic every day but I believe the city is trying to make it better.

The old Phillips 66 service station … It has been amazing to be able to walk to the square and get some of the best coffee I have ever had at queen bee or get ice cream at scoops or even get some amazing food from any of the restaurants. It still has the suburban feel with big parks and a lot of spaces between homes and stores but it is also close to the airport and within 30-50 minutes to most places in Atlanta.
