Switzerland, officially called the Swiss Federation, is a small country in Central Europe… Each student was administered tests similar to the American SAT or ACT exams. Beyond that, many of the underlying metrics tend to become less meaningful, making distinct conclusions difficult. Quality of education is the key factor in our ranking, making up 45% of the total score. The looming Brexit may have adverse effects on the country’s ranking in the coming years.France moves up a rank, now 3rd before the Netherlands. In this year’s edition of the Study.EU Country Ranking, we look once more at 30 European countries and examine how attractive they are to international students. Published by the OECD on 3rd December 2019, the PISA 2018 report includes 79 countries. Education levels vary between countries around the world.
Results from PISA indicate the quality and equity of learning outcomes attained around the world, and allow educators and policy makers to learn from the policies and practices applied in other countries. We explore each of these pillars in the following sections. Asian countries dominate in comparison between 76 nations. The 2nd quarter rankings are based on the results of our annual international survey that identify areas of needs to improve the quality of education for students 3 to 21, in 214 nations. Our analysis includes a total of 30 countries.
